PCM3070: setup CODEC_CKLIN using internal PLL

Part Number: PCM3070

Tool/software:

Dear All

There are "example setup on PCM3070 Application Guide", Stereo ADC with 48ksps sample rate and high perfomance

But CODEC_CKLIN generated by external MCLK.

How to setup CODEC_CKLIN using internal PLL ?

regards,

rachmat

  • Hi Rachmat,

You will always need a reference clock to generate the internal clocks for any of our audio codecs - the PLL needs a reference clock to multiply up, and then there are dividers that are configurable to get the BCLK and WCLK out if using the device in master/controller mode. CODEC_CLKIN is typically the output of the PLL or if the input clock is sufficiently high enough, it can be the same as the input clock.

Let me know if you need help for your system, if you can give more info about the clocks you need or have available I am happy to help more.

    Best,
    Mir
