TLV320AIC3101: USB not connecting

Part Number: TLV320AIC3101

Tool/software:

Audio team,

A customer is trying to use the EVM with a Windows 11 PC, and having a problem with the AIC310x EVM GUI seeing the connection on USB.

- Version 2.0 of AIC310x EVM GUI installed

- On the EVM, the green POWER LED and blue USB READY LED are on.

- Device Manager shows TI USB Audio UAC2.0

He has also tried manually installing the SLAC521 drivers.

Do you know why this is happening? What is the fix?

Thanks,

Darren

  • Hi Darren,

I just double checked this and it should work on Windows 11 as is without any extra drivers needed. Actually SLAC521 is redundant because you're using the AC-MODEVM motherboard, which is an updated version and uses the TI USB Audio Driver instead (this pops up in the system tray once the EVM is plugged in).

Did any errors occur during the install? Has the customer tried uninstalling and trying again? Running as administrator also might be necessary depending on any security/IT set up on the customer's PC.

    Best regards,
    Jeff McPherson
