TLV320AIC3100: Default state of unused pins

Part Number: TLV320AIC3100

Tool/software:

Hi,

We are considering TLV320AIC3100 for one of our designs.

But in our application we only need to drive an 8Ohm speaker and do not require mic.

How should the unused pins terminated? Also it would be great if there are any reference designs for this part.

Thanks,

Jagan

  • Hi Jagan,

Unused mic/input pins should be terminated with a 0.47uF cap to GND. This is required since the ADC pins have an internal pull up to bias the ADC. To prevent this voltage from discharging directly to gnd, the cap is required.

Any unused analog outputs and digital IOs can be left floating.

    Best regards,
    Jeff McPherson
