PCM1809: PCM1809 – Support for 192kHz Sample Rate in Controller Mode

Hello TI Support,

I would like to use the PCM1809 to sample analog audio and convert it to I2S. My application requires a 192kHz sampling rate.

Could you please confirm whether the PCM1809 supports 192kHz operation in controller mode? If so, could you advise how to properly configure the device to achieve this sample rate?

Hello Ganadi,

Page 12 of datasheet indicates: " In the controller mode of operation, the device uses the MD1 pin (as the system clock, MCLK) as the reference input clock source with a supported system clock frequency option of either 256 × fs or 512 × fs as configured using the MD0 pin. Controller mode supports fs rates of 44.1kHz and 48kHz.

Yes, I saw that. For 192 kHz, the IC is configured to 128 × fₛ, which suggests that 192 kHz operation is not supported in controller mode. I just wanted to confirm that I understood this correctly — is that right?
