Hi Sirs,

     I noticed that L1 is a 1uH inductor, but it said that the saturation current of inductor is 4.5A.  I would like to know that how big is it?  (0805? 1206? or...?)

    Besides, if my battery is only 3.7V (1.961Wh) and is for use with a watch application, does the current still be this large? Do I still need such a large inductor? Thanks.

    Hi Paul,

    You may find some 1uH with the mentioned current rating in 0805 package, or bigger.

    If your application does not require the full power capabilities of TAS2563, you can use a lower current rating inductor. In order to make sure the inductor does not go into saturation, you can configure BST_ILIM register to a lower value (the default is 3.96A). You can use PPC3 to adjust this value in your configuration file.
