TAS2781EVM: TAS2783EVM RevE1 plug-in does not exist

I purchased TAS2783EVM RevE1 and wanted to use PCC3, but the plug-in does not exist. I was trying to use the TAS2781EVM plugin, but a warning popped up saying that it was not a supported EVM, and when I clicked “connect” in the lower left corner of the PPC screen, it failed to connect.
Is there really no plug-in for TAS2783EVM RevE1?

The uploaded image shows the screen when a connection error occurs. At this time, the PC and TAS2783EVM are connected via USB, and the USB is not disabled by a jumper (the PC recognizes the device).

Hi Toki,

TAS2783 E1 EVM has TAS2783 PG1.0 silicon. TAS2783PG1.0 and TAS2781 are software compatible this PPC3 app should work

Can you please refer to the TAS2781 UG section 3.1 "Jumper Settings" https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slou560/slou560.pdf? I suspect that some setting is incorrect.

the "Error in communicating with the device" means that the USB connection is successful, but I2C communication is failing.

you should check that J18, J24, and J25 are set as recommended in the EVM UG.
