TAS6684-Q1: No output at -40 ℃ environment

Part Number: TAS6684-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team

The customer tested TAS6684-Q1 in an environment of -40 and needed to preheat for more than ten minutes before it could output normally. Can you help me analyze the reason? The schematic diagram is shown below, thank you!

  • Hi Eric

This device been tested with -40C condition, and everything should be normal.

Please check the register 0x72/0x73 to confirm the channel's working state first.

If channel is Fault state, need to check register from 0x80 to 0x8f, find out what fault been reported.

  • Hi Shadow,

    Thank you for your feedback.

The values read from registers 0x72/0x73 are all 0X33, and the status report shows that all four channels are in a HI-Z state. The Fault state is that the DVDD power on reset event stored and Clock Error event stored(0x86—0x80, 0x8A—0x01). What is the reason for this? Thank.

  • Hi Eric

It's quite likely the clock is not stable during this situation, and devic is waiting for clock. Let's use oscilloscope to check clock waveform under this condition.
