Tool/software:
Hi team,
Regarding the short-circuit current protection of the TPA3220, is the following understanding correct?
- When the output current exceeds the overcurrent threshold, the output current is limited to the maximum programmed level in each switching cycle.
- If the maximum output current persists, the device shuts down the affected output channel, and that output becomes a high-impedance state until the RESET cycle begins.
- During this time, the output from the GATE-DRIVE is off.
- The time from detecting the overcurrent in the output channel to limiting it to the maximum programmed current is 150ns.
- The time from when the output channel becomes a high-impedance state to when the RESET cycle is initiated is 1.7ms.
Best regards,
Kyohei
