TLV320AIC3104: Lineout Diff out to MIC Single ended input and HPXCOM No connection

Part Number: TLV320AIC3104

Tool/software:

Hello,

We are considering to use TLV320AIC3104 for our HMI project.

Schematic is attached.

We shall drive mono speaker from RIGHT_LOP and RIGHT_LOM and give this speaker feedback to the MIC input from LEFT_LOP and LEFT_LOM.

Is this applicable?

We would like to connect a differential line-out signal to the differential microphone input (MIC1RP/M). Are the voltage levels compatible for this configuration?

Additionally, we do not use HPLCOM and HPRCOM. Can I left them floating?

Best regards.

  • Hi Egemen,

HPLCOM and HPRCOM can be left floating if unused.

This feedback loop will work, but the gain of the Right LOP/M will have to be reduced by 6dB at least in order to prevent clipping on the mic input.

    Best regards,
    Jeff McPherson

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

According to your reply, should we write a value of 13 or higher from D0 to D6 of Reg82?

Also, is there any issue in the schematic?

Are the capacitor values for input and output appropriate?

The Right LOUT is connected to a 3W amplifier.

Additionally, for HPXOUT would 47uF (GRM32EC81C476KE15K) be sufficient?

    Best regards.

  • Hi Egemen,

I don't see any issues in your schematic.

The cap values are appropriate. The choice of HPxOUT capacitor will depend on the input impedance of whatever you are loading it with. The high-pass filter formed by the cap and the input impedance of the receiver should be low enough to not cause filtering in the audio band.

    Best regards,
