Hello,
Thanks for reaching out. I will do a schematic review and provide comments with in 24 hours.
Regards,
Sydney Northcutt
can you please update the status? 5 days over.
Latest update : MODEOUT PIN is now coming High when MODE pin LOW
Hello,
Apologies for the delay here!
I see in the schematic it seems just one pin is connected for PVCCL/R and the output pins, but there are various pins of that value that must be shorted together. Can you confirm if all pins are connected?
Also what are the voltage values of AVCC and PVCC and what is the voltage in % of VREF on the volume pin?
Regards,
Sydney Northcutt
PVCCL/R & Output pins are overlapped & connected in the schematics.
AVCC = 12V
PVCC = 12V
VREF = 4.7V
VDD_SPK_AMP = 12V
Hello,
Your schematic and these ratings look okay. Can you explain how this jumper is configured?
Regards,
Sydney Northcutt
Hello,
Okay understood. That is fine. I am not sure what this issue is immediately, so we will have to test and debug.
What is your input signal?
What is the voltage measured on AVDD?
Can you probe your inputs to ensure you are getting proper voltage to the device?
Can you test with the speaker load removed?
If all looks normal, can you swap the IC?
Regards,
Sydney Northcutt
What is your input signal? Input signal is from Laptop audio port through 3.5mm Jack
What is the voltage measured on AVDD? 4.8V
Can you probe your inputs to ensure you are getting proper voltage to the device?
Capacitor Input = (C2,C4 : 0V , C3,C5 : 1.4 V)
Can you test with the speaker load removed? Yes we have tested. (Without Speaker what test we have to do)
If all looks normal, can you swap the IC? Already Tried with New ICs still not working
Hello,
I missed the note where you mentioned that mode out pin is now high when mode pin low. What is the current issue that you are facing? Is there still no audio playing out of the speaker?
If so:
What are the parameters of your speaker?
Can you probe the output while supplying input data and when not supplying input data?
Regards,
Sydney Northcutt
No audio coming out of the speaker.

Hello,
Thanks for sharing this. I will review the speaker spec. Can you also share your layout?
Regards,
Sydney
Hello,
I just sent you a friend request on E2E. You can then share the layout to me over private message.
Regards,
Sydney Northcutt
Layout file shared in Private message. Please check and confirm.
Can you please expedite the solution?
Hello,
Yes I confirmed I received the layout. I will be able to provide review notes tomorrow. Thank you for your patience!
As I do the layout review, can you please test probing the input of the amp and the output of the amp at the same time and sharing the scope image?
Regards,
Sydney Northcutt
Hello,
Your layout looks okay to me.
The good news is that your output reflects your input (seems you have input channel inverted), but I believe it is just not to the level desired.
What is the voltage on the volume pin?
Also are you measuring RINP before or after the input cap C5?
Regards,
Sydney Northcutt
Are you changing the value of this pin? You mentioned this pin was connected to a potentiometer. It should be some percentage of the VREF voltage. Is the VREF voltage changing?
Looks like the output is changing with the volume pin which is good. Are you now getting the correct output and sound out of your speaker?
Hi Jayakrishnan,
Sydney is out of office today and we have a US holiday on Monday. We will get back to you by Tuesday. Thank you for your patience.
Could you try swapping speakers, ICs, and boards? I do not see an issue with the configuration.
Previously in the thread there was an issue with the MODE pin that was resolved. What was the issue?
We have tried all these options, We made 6 Cards. All six cards behaving the same.
Mode Pin issue was because some mounting issues?
Can you please suggest any solution or trouble shooting method?
