Hi Sir,

May I know if the LINE1 channel supports the bypass mode?

My customer would like to use the bypass function to pass the MIC signals shown in the figure below. Is it possible to do it? Need to provide any input clocks or to adjust registers?

Hi Henry,

Yes LINE 1 supports bypass as the diagram shows.

Details like register settings are given in section 10.4.1.3 of the datasheet.

As shown in the picture above.

The customer followed Section 10.4.1.3 to test the bypass function, but found no MIC signals output. Could you review the register setting value to fix this issue?

Hi Henry,

Can the customer try using a 0.707Vrms input from a function generator? Mic levels can be very small and I recall there being some attenuation involved with this path. A larger signal will help see the effect more clearly. The register settings appear correct to me.
