TPA3244EVM: Net-tie for routed GND and PCB layers

Hello I have 2 questions regarding the TPA3244EVM board.

1. I am not able to find a net-tie connecting the AGND (referred to as "Routed Ground" in schematic) to the PGND. Are the grounds tied together internally in the TPA3244 IC?

2. There is conflicting information of the number of PCB layers on the TPA3244EVM. The user guide says "Double-sided, plated-through, 2oz Cu, 2-layer PCB layout" but the web page says "Double-sided, plated-through, 2oz Cu, 4-layer PCB layout". Is the PCB of the TPA3244EVM board 2 layers or 4 layers?

Hello,

1. Are you referring to the GND pins and the power PAD? These are not connected within the IC and should be routed to a large ground pour on the board.

2. Looking at the Altium project files it seems the EVM is a 4 layer board. Apologies for the typo!

Hello,

I am not referring to the power pad but the special GNDs with the text "ROUTED GROUND" on them in the second page of the TPA3244EVM schematic pdf. These are using the inverted triangle symbol rather than the dashed GND symbol used entirely on page 3.

Usually when there are AGND and PGND pins they are are tied together with a net-tie but this is not shown anywhere in the schematic.
