Hi Team, i have designed an class D amplifier of 240W. In mu system I have connected a ferrite bead of 1K @ 100MHz between the circuit ground and the xlr, RCA connector ground.
When i connect the connector to the AP and short the output of 4 ohm +ve to chassis then the ferrite bead got damaged....
What is the reason for that?
My thought is that when the connector is connected to the system.... The connector ground is connected to the AP earth through the AC power chord.... And that ground and circuit ground got connected through the ferrite bead... And even i use a 1 khz sine signal at output... FB offers a low resistance... And huge current will flows.... Am i right about this?
Will connecting a capacitor parallel to the fb resolve this issue?
Will it create any problem in emi/emc
