A new project is planning to use the PCM9211, and the following issues have been encountered:
1,When the PCM9211 functions as a DIR, does it support decoding of Dolby 5.1 audio sources from SPDIF RX, or does it only support decoding of 2.0-channel PCM audio sources?
2,When the PCM9211 functions as a DIT, is the following understanding correct? When the input is I2S, the SPDIF TX only outputs 2.0-channel audio. When the input is switched to SPDIF RX, the SPDIF TX will output the same audio source as the SPDIF RX (if the RX is 5.1-channel, the TX will also be 5.1-channel; if the RX is 2.0-channel, the TX will also be 2.0-channel).
3,When the PCM9211 functions as a DIR, if it supports decoding of Dolby 5.1 audio sources from SPDIF RX, does it have the function of the "DIR usage mode" as shown in the following figure?
