TAS2563: .PPC3 file for TAS2563 with echo reference function and playback function.

Part Number: TAS2563

Tool/software:

Hello Expert,

Could you help us export .PPC3 file of TAS2563 with enable echo reference function and playback function.  There is no PDM MIC used. For playbacl function, the sampling frequency is 16khz and boost voltage is 6V.

Much thanks!

Best regards,

Wenting.

  • Hi Wenting,

I used default char and tuning settings, set Boost Max Voltage to 6V, select Audio Out for both SDOUT feedback channels but enable only 1 of them on slot 0.

Attached are the output files. If this configuration works as intended, you can try similarly on your side and compare, this so you don't depend on TI generating configuration files for new configuration changes.

  • Hello Ivan,

Do you still have the .PPC3 file for previous output files so that I can import to PPC3 and adjust through it directly?

    Best regards,

    Wenting

  • Besides, May I double check with you this files is exported from TAS2563 EVM SW for BGA package not TAS2563QFN EVM right? It seems TAS2563QFN has bugs and I couldn't use it to play music. There is a PWM but not right and VBAT is always 0 on TAS2563QFN EVM board.

    Best regards,

    Wenting

  • Hi Wenting,

What is the actual package you're planning to use on your end product?
The register configuration is not compatible between QFN and BGA devices.

Regarding QFN EVM board, VBAT should be supplied on either of these options: J16 (barrel jack), J31 (screw header), J6 (banana jack). Do you measure 0V even after connecting the external power supply?

  • Hello Ivan,

The cusotmer will use QFN package. Yesterday I tried all these 3 power supplied but all of them can not work.

Here is log read. I used TAS2563 QFN learning board, the green one and I think there are some bugs for the board.

  • Hi Wenting,

The content on register 0x26 suggest that at some point the device was set to Active mode, then register 0x24 shows TDM clock error. The device should have SBCLK and FSYNC clocks present before setting device to Active mode using register 0x02. If the clocks are stopped at any point, the device must be set to SW shutdown and then back to Active once clocks are back.

The learning board is really just required for the speaker characterization process using PPC3. For general testing you can remove the learning board and use the EVM only.

You can reach out offline through email and we can setup some time next week to discuss further debugging options.
