Tool/software:
MATLAB Compiler Runtime (MCR) must be installed along with PPC3. Some firewall and other network control features may prevent a proper installation of the additional packages.
If you have already followed the provided instructions of installing or re-installing MCR, adding or updating PATH at the Windows System Environment Variables, and the issue still persists. Or if you had a working installation and suddenly it started showing this error. You may have to clear some temporary files to fix this problem.
Follow this procedure to remove temporary files preventing PPC3 to properly locate MCR installation:
- Close PPC3
- Press Windows key + R
- Type %temp% and hit 'Enter'
- Permanently delete the files inside the folder (C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Local\Temp) using Shift + Delete.
- Skip the files that are in active use by other programs.
- Re-open PPC3 and check whether the issue is resolved.
Alternatively, you can re-install PPC3 using a different installation directory and execute the application from that new location.
