TPA6141A2: Line Out Drive

I am planning to use the TPA6141A2 for a TRS with JackDetect pin for a 3.5mm audio port.. Seems like it ticks all the requirement for me.

Apart from the headset, we wish to drive the line out port ( possibly Aux port in a Car ) using the same 3.5mm port.

Can the TPA6141A2 can be used to Line Out amps? Since it is ground referred, I assume it can.

Just that the spec sheet doesnt explicitly mention it while the TPA6166A2 does. Just wanted to clarify before using it in my project.

Hi Srinivasan,

Line output means a higher load impedance compared to headphones, in that case the current drive should not be a problem.

You can refer to Figure 20 at page 9 of the data sheet which shows a voltage drive of ~1.3Vrms for line impedance range (600~1k Ohm).
