PCM1808-Q1: power timing quesion

Part Number: PCM1808-Q1

Hi TI teams,

our project use PCM1808 as a analog to digital device, analog power supply is 5V power rail, digital power supply is 3,3V power rail, but i don't find any power timing in your datasheet, please provide this , thanks !

  • Hello Qin,

There is no power sequence  explicitly in the data sheet. However since  internal power-on-reset circuit monitors VDD to release the reset,  I would power on the VCC first  so when  VDD >2.2 (typical threshold) is met and internal reset is released I would see the output according to reset timing.

  • Hi, TI teams, does this mean that if VDD power up first, there won't be any output until VCC power up ?

And if VDD power up first, VCC power up after, will this part still work properly?

  • Hi Qin,

For functionality you need both VDD and VCC , but internal reset happens when VDD is above the mentioned threshold.  I would power up VCC and then VDD. If you power VCC after VDD still the part should function.
