VCOM on PCM2902 during idle/streaming

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM2902C, PCM2902

Customer wants to use PCM2902C (when available, has proto now with ‘B’) using the VCOM pin to bias the outputs to DC (ie no output AC coupling caps). This is because the

outputs bay be audio or DC control voltages (this is a music/recording studio ap).

Customer is seeing large DC shifts (pop and thumps) in the output when the audio stream starts/stops. Does VCOM go into a power-down mode or something

when idle? In other words, does it set a constant value or only rise to VCOM when streaming is active?
