TAS2563: Audio Amplifier Nothing in DAC Output

Part Number: TAS2563

Tool/software:

HI Team,

We are facing the issue with TAS2563RPPT QFN Part like, we can able to communicate this amplifier through I2C and Able to read and write the registers. but we didn't find any response on speaker output. Can you please confirm the below,

1. Internal BOOST - we set is always On but we havent received boosted target voltage in VBST pin. it was same as VBAT= 5v no switching happens. what could be the reason? we are used this amplifier as custom design board and we communicated from SOC I2C and XMOS I2S.

2. can you please suggest what are all the basic registers need to configure to check the basic audio output in speaker

3. did we need to use PPC3 firmware for our use case or can we configure the specific register like (Boost EN, Boost Target voltage, I2s mode enable, audio level etc)

Kindly let us know your inputs on above query.

Thanks

  • It is recommended using PPC3 to get the proper configuration script.

Please share the script you're using to set the device registers.
You can read registers 0x24 to 0x27 on page 0 to check if there are any interrupt flags being triggered.
