TPS1H100-Q1: Reverse Current

Part Number: TPS1H100-Q1

Dear Technical Support Team,

Under the condition shown in Fig. 7 of the datasheet, when the device is reverse-connected, could you please advise how many amperes for how many seconds would cause the IC to fail?

The datasheet indicates Irev2 as typ. 2A for t < 60s. If the duration increases, does this current value decrease accordingly?
If so, is there any guideline or reference such as “X amperes for Y seconds”?

Additionally, if you have any characteristic information regarding the channel temperature or other thermal properties of the FET’s body diode, we would greatly appreciate your guidance.

Best regards,
Komatsuda

  • Hi Komatsuda,

we don't spec for other conditions outside of the ones specified in the data sheet, so make sure to stay within the 2A for < 60s

we also don't characterize the body diode of the mosfet but it won't be damaged if you stay within the data sheet limits

    Best Regards,
