I would like try to use some of the TAS5830 devices for a time-critical array application with staggered loudspeakers.
In the datasheets I find very little information regarding latency and delay, but this is important for designing a small PA system with directional sound radiation.
Is there any latency when the device is operated in Hardware Mode, and if so, how large is it or how many samples does it introduce?
The delay register shows 0F samples after reset according to the datasheet. Does this still apply in Hardware Mode, or is the internal uDSP completely bypassed when using Hardware Mode?
