Hi

TLV320AIC3104 can microphone and line-in are in the same headphone jack? have refrence schematics?

    Hi Kevin,

    There are some configuration examples of jack detection connections on page 41-42 of the datasheet, as well as in the following app note: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slaa454/slaa454.pdf

    The input pins support mic or line inputs on the same pin, so the connection should work.

    Hi Garret,

    I have some questions based on the attached datasheet:
    (1)If I want to share a single input port for both Line-in and Mic-in, which pin should I connect to?
    (2)Mic-in requires MICBIAS while Line-in does not. Should I use an external LDO to control the power delivery to the bias circuit separately?


    (3)Regarding the Line-out, should I use HPLOUT/HPROUT or the SPK ports? Which one is recommended for a standard Line-out application?

    Hi Kevin,

    1. You can choose any MIC/LINE pin.

    2. You can provide an external bias, or simply power down MICBIAS in register 25 when using a Line Input.

    3. Use the SPK ports for Line-Out - the "_LO" on the pin names actually represents "Line-Out", this diagram just shows with speaker driver attached.
