AM62D-Q1: Using DMA to transfer data from McAsp

Hello TI experts,

I want to transfer data from McASP via  cyclic DMA. Do you know is there any  limitation on AM62D to set the number of DMA periods?  Can I configure DMA so that it only copies the word size(16 or 24bits) data ?(I have read that DMA controller has a x-y fifo burst mode)
