Dear team,

TAS5548EVM was EOLed and no longer supported?

If it was EOLed, do we have alternative way to evaluate TAS5548?

if TAS5548 is no longer recommended for new project, what is our alternative solution?

    1. TAS5548EVM Status: The TAS5548EVM evaluation module has likely reached its End-of-Life (EOL)​ for hardware production, as it is an older platform. However, technical documentation and software support (e.g., PPC3) remain available on the TI website.

    2. TAS5548 Device Status: The TAS5548 itself is currently in Not Recommended for New Designs (NRND)​ or EOL phase. We strongly advise against using it for new projects due to potential future supply constraints.

    3. Alternative Evaluation & Solutions:

      • For Evaluation: We recommend using the TAS5825EVM​ or TAS5828EVM​ as modern replacements. These boards feature integrated DSP, I²S input, and are fully supported in PPC3.

      • For New Designs: Consider the TAS5825​ or TAS5828​ smart amplifiers. They offer higher integration, better performance, and active support.
