TAD5212: Headphones and line out simultaneously

Hi,

I'm trying to determine whether it's possible (and a good idea) to feed audio out to headphones and stereo line out simultaneuosly?

"The DAC outputs can be configured for either line-output or headphone loads."

I read this as you either run line-output or headphones, but just want to double check before we add a separate headphone amp.

Hi Henrik,

Each output has its own output driver, so one output can drive mono headphones while the other drives line-out, if that is your question.

Thanks Garret! Although I was hoping for two stereo pairs, i.e. stereo headphones and stereo line out at the same time. Is that also possible?

Yes, the outputs can be set as stereo single-ended.
