TAS2320: Understanding the datasheet gain parameters

Hi team,

This family of IC has external pin control.

It says 12dBV, but what is the detail of this. Is this the output voltage swing when internal digital volume at 0dB and input is 0dBFS?

    Hi Luke,

    Which pin on the device are you referring to? If you are referencing Table 6-3. SEL1 HW Mode configuration,12dBV is the amplifier gain. You can calculate the output voltage for your configuration using Equation 1 in section 6.4.2.1 in the TAS2320 datasheet.
