Hi TI Team, 

I am currently calculating power dissipation for TAS6424E-Q1,

Requirements:

  • Supply voltage: 12V
  • Number of channels: 4
  • Output power: 4 x 15 W, 4 ohm
  • Automotive qualified

For a 4 × 15 W, 4 ohm application (60 W total output power), I estimated the TAS6424E-Q1 power dissipation from Figure 7-8 to be approximately 10 W using the PVDD (Device only) curve. Is this the correct approach for estimating device power dissipation for thermal calculations?
