Full digital transmission using CC8531

dear all,

I post a new question that could help me in fullfiling my needs.

I am using 2 CC8531DK set and my goal is to manage to send a signal through the USB of the master and to record it digitally from one of the slave output. If it works well when using the analog config, I can't find a nice config that allows me to be fully digital. I tried to pick-up the signal from the I2S bus but it wasn't successful. I also tried to activate from PurePath Wireless configurator the USB but it doesn't exist...

I tried many other options by combining 2 DK sets without being successful.

Does anyone have a hint or even a solution to input digitaly my signal into the DK and receive it digitaly on the other side?

thanks for your help.

H.

  • Hi Hugo,

Please note that only a master in the PurePath Wireless network can be a USB device and that the CC85XXDK-HEADSET has been built to demonstrate headphone and headset applications (with analog input/output in mind) so the I2S interface is not easily available.

To evaluate all digital options of the CC85XX wireless audio family you will need the CC85XXDK in both ends. Audio interfaces available on this kit include S/PDIF optical + coax input/output, line input/output, headphone output and microphone input. In addition the I2S interface is available on pin-rows for debugging or prototyping with other PCB boards / cards.

    Best regards,
    Kjetil
