PurePath & Bluetooth Coexistence?

Dear

I am reviewing if PurePath can use for wireless speaker.

For handset's music play , it  should also include bluetooth connection at the same time.

Both of them operate at same freq. range(2.4G). Even though AFH is adopted, I worry about the interference each other.

What do you think?

    Hi Jack, 

    Since BT by definition is a frequency hopping system our adaptiveness do not help (adaptiveness works for more static interferers like Wifi or uOwens etc). 
    For all practical purposes this boils down to the propability of two frequency hopping system being on the same frequency at the same time. 

    We have tested this down to 10cm (Bluetooth Basic Rate) with no reduction in throughput for PurePath Wireless nor the Bluetooth link, but at some point/distance the selectivity and blocking performance of the two solutions comes into play and this will vary a lot from different bluetooth chip vendors. 

    Best suggestion is to do some testing yourself with the desired Bluetooth radio.
    There are commercial products in the pipe combining these two technologies.

    Can  the PurePath be disable the Adaptive hopping to  detour the freq.? I think it is better to use AFH in BT , with PurePath having fixed freq. band.

    What do you think?

    Hi Jack, 

    The current FW1.3.0 allows some control over the frequency usage and this is something we are looking to give the user more control over in the next FW upgrade. 
    I do not know the details of how AFH is implemented in BT A2DP so can't really comment on how this works, but in theory if they are doing things correctly then your suggestion should give an improvement.

    I can not disclose products in development (and only rarely available products) I'm afraid, so you will have to take my word for it.
