TLV320ADC3101 Evaluation Module (EVM) and USB motherboard driver installation problem

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320ADC3101EVM-K

Hi,

We have recently obtaned the TLV320ADC3101EVM however I am unable to connect to it via USB, I am also unable to use ADC3101 CS software to configure my EVM. I have looked at the Debugging guide availiable but that hasn't helped either. I installed the software from the following link:ftp:  //ftp.ti.com/pub/PPAC/TLV320ADC3101EVM-K/,

I am using windows 7 professional 32 bit, and am unable to connect with the USB-MODEVM, the D2 LED indicating that the firmware has been loaded is turned on on the USB motherboard.

I am follwoing http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau267/slau267.pdf as the user guide and

http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slaa388a/slaa388a.pdf for troubleshooting.

  • there are no drivers for USB-MODEVM for windows 7:http://e2e.ti.com/support/data_converters/precision_data_converters/f/73/t/105491.aspx#661143 ,which means you can only evaluate the module in XP.

  • Is this posting response still valid? I am also a first time user of the ADC3101 Eval Bd and am having the same problems as the original poster.

However, in the latest Eval User Guide, there are instruction for setting the compatibility mode for Windows 7 operation, so this implies the Eval board will now work under Windows 7, true?

I have tried setting the Window 7 compatibility mode, and am still seeing the identical conditions as the original poster (LED D2 is lit, indicating the USB interface is ok, however, Windows is not properly finding the Driver).

    Please advice, Thanks.
