TLV320AIC3104 - ADC PGA Gain in analog bypass mode

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3104

I want to use the analog bypass function with the TLV320AIC3104.

In our configuration PGA_L is connected to HPLOUT and PGA_R is connected to HPROUT. I get an output signal for the left and right channel. Register 46 (0x2E) and register 63 (0x3F) are used to control mute and volume.

The input and output level controls work as expected, but I am wondering why changing the analog PGA gain [Register 15 (0x0F) and Register 16 (0x10)] has no effect to the level of the output signal. I would expect a gain adjustment from 0 to +59.5dB because the block diagram on page 3 shows the analog bypass path after the analog PGA.

Did I choose the wrong path inside the aic3104 or is this configuration not supported?

Thanks

Thomas
