sorry for a stupid question, but - most SPDIF receivers have external RC, PLL filter.

Also DIX9211 have

Why DIX4192 does not have?

P..S. Do TI have a plans to make the IC like 4192 or 9211, but with posibility to read incoming L/R data from registers? SPI have the necessary bandwidth. This will helps to use DSP/Micro without I2S (ot with not enugh quantity of I2S ports).

Hi Don,

I read, but didnt understood.

It is clear that MCLC/RXCKI used for reference, DIX9211 have external clock, but also RC-filter.

But fo example DIR9001 do not need the external clock and RC exists.

Hi, Alto,

The DIX4192 uses a different internal circuit design than the others, hence the external filter is not needed.
