TAS5121 PWM input directly from MSP430 (without PWM processor)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F2274

Hello Texas!

I would like to play a simple sound of drum and I have MSP430F2274 and TAS5121. Sound data is stored in flash of MSP430F2274. So, can i use PWM signal directly from MSP430F2274 to control TAS5121 without a  PWM processor (such as TAS5026) ?

Thanks!

  • Hi,

Since the TAS5121 just takes whatever PWM signal is input and scales up the current/voltage, this should work. But, I don't think anyone's ever tried it here.

You might want to use one of our newer power stages, The TAS5121 is pretty old (and expensive). We have cheaper, better, faster ones available.
