TLV320AIC3100 Redard:class-D Speaker Driver

Hello!

Q1.In using it by a Mono Audio, please let me know the right value about P1-/Register38 D7 indicated to the data sheet P106.
⇒D7=1 is correct. OK?
If it is Mono Audio use in the D7="0" state, is it in what state?
In addition, the place which changed this value at user company and carried out input electric power measurement,
When D7="1" D0~D6 are "12 (0001100)",
It compared by the case where D7="0" D0~D6 are "12 (0001100)", and the output difference to the speaker out about 6 dB.
Although both differences can hear from what becomes the same, and a table about an output at -6.0 dB for seeing from Table5-37(data sheet P63)  and Table5-38(P64), please advise me!

Q2. D7=0 Left-channel analoog volume control is not routed to HPL output driver.(data sheet P106)

Please refer data sheet P2  Cladd-D Speaker Driver and Analoge Attenuation Block.
But in case P1/Register38 D7=0,  the value of SpeakerDriver is changed, an output will change.
  Why?

  • Fukumichi,

    Nice catch!

Use table 5-38 . (D7=1) instead of 5-37 (invalid, and we are already in the process of removing this table from D/S and will be updated in a week's time)

When D7=0 and D6-D0 = 0x7F, the output is muted. As per table 5-38 a value 12 programmed would give an attenuation of -6dB.

On your Q2, follow table 5-38 for both HP and Speaker.
