On the LM49350 HPL and HPR pins, if these pins are shorted to ground due to a failure of the jack that is being plugged in will this damage the part?

Is there any protection internal to the device such as clamping diodes?

    Hi Quince,

    I think Gerardine Ly has addressed your question in a seperate email, her response was:

    Yes, there are internal ESD diodes. I’ve been informed by one of the designers the HP amp can drive a short.
