PCM4204 PowerPAD connection

I am using the PCM4204 in a couple locations in a new design and failed to connect the PowerPAD to electrical ground.  Should the part still work?

    Fred,

    It would be recommended  to have PowerPad connected to GND, and the PCM4204 EVM does this as well.  The part may still work, but thermal and noise performance should improve when PowerPad is connected to GND, with all GND's connected underneath at the PowerPad.
