static induction transistor

The Static induction transistor was invented many years ago. there is a renewed interest in power J-fets using this technology in the audio community but there is no availability for this product. Another semicinductor company makes this product which was used in radar applications for the military. My question is will Texas Instruments produce this innovative product for audio applications? At present only two companies use this semiconductor in their amplifiers, one in america and one in Japan

Hi Don, I wanted to know if TI is going to produce the static induction transistor as a stand alone j-fet or integrate this transistor into an op amp.
