TPA3106D1 EVM stability

Received the TI evaluation module. Sine wave testing, there is considerable oscillation that occurs at the onset of clipping.

Hi, Bruce,

Are you looking singled-endedly (is that a word?) or differentially? Can you post a screen shot?

TI Evaluation module in is single ended in (RCA) and balanced/diff out. Looking at either output on scope. Not grounding either output. Tried a number of different grounding schemes with no change. Only occurs when very close to clipping. Otherwise...OK.

18-24VDC no change

4 or 8 ohm load

Bruce,

That looks pretty normal... Measure it differentially, and you'll see a nice, smooth, clipping waveform, just as you'd expect.
