Hello,

TAS5142 data sheet recommend customer to monitor /OTW( NOT /OTE) &/SD in page 21.

Q1  Customer is just connect ing  /SD ( with pull up 10K to external 3.3V) to TAS5508 /BKND_ERROR.  

      Is this not recommended?

       Customer had better to monitor /OTW&/SD by MCU  and volume down something ?

Q2   Do you have any suggested value for pull up resistor for /SD ( 3.3V pull up)? Customer is using 10Kohm.

Q3  ABS  amx of Tj is 125 deg-C, but /OTE is 155 deg-C.   Is thi OK for relaiability?

    Hi, Shibatani-san,

    The TAS5142 is a little old part... If possible, you should use a newer one, maybe TAS5342 or even TAS5612A...

    Q1. This is okay as is. Your second comment would be better, this could could the audio playing, but at a lower level. It really depends on how complicated you want your system design.

    Q2. 10k is ok.

    Q3. The OTE is a last-ditch effort to protect the IC from permanent damage. Under normal operation, their system should be designed to keep TJ at, or below, 125C.
