stand alone, audio device

HI

Its always great landing to your webportal, looking for something that suits my requirement.

Please help me for one of such

I want to develop a product ,which work as follows
Call/connect to the specified web link.( may be through a GSM/Local Wifi connection)
Receive the data from that link/server.
Stream the data and play that through a speaker.

Hope you understand that, please feel free to clear if any doubts.

  • Hi Rahul,

Not sure if totally understand or if the PurePath Wireless technology is right for you.

PurePath Wireless Audio devices, the CC85xx series (http://www.ti.com/cc8520) can transmit CD quality data between a master device and up to 4 receiver devices. The input for the master needs to be digital (I2S) and thus the device will need a analog to digital converter in front or a digital receiver (spdif) and for the speaker it is the same. A DAC or a digital amplifier is needed.

Feel free to read a litltebit more on the link above and get back to us with more questions if you like.

    Best regards,

  • Hi GENIUS (KJETIL)

Thanks for your replies and time.

I think we need to re design and fabricate the solution as per present requirements.

Like mentioned above we can have wireless transmission through RF, but we need it through GPRS, through a GSM modem. Now Having said that we have modem. WE need to stream live data and take the data onto our controller through UART. I think till now can be handled out, now the rest of part is about using the appropriate CODEC to decode the data onto the format required. and play it through the SPEAKERS.

SO If possible can you please suggest/guide me about the complete methodology , flow , the relevant ICs/technology by TI.

That would lend a great help for me to develop.

Or if its something ready to use available, then also , please guide me.

    Thanks And Regards

    Rahul Mittal

  • Hi Rahul,

I'm sorry, but do not have the overview of the entire TI portfolio to give any guidance here. This forum section is for Low-Power RF and PurePath Wireless Audio devices in specific.

You could see if you can find some assistance one of the following:

    Audio Converters:
    http://e2e.ti.com/support/data_converters/audio_converters/default.aspx

    Audio Amplifiers:

Hope you can find your solution.
