Hi,

What is correct register initialization sequence in Slave mode for TLV320ADC3101? The datasheet of this IC does not mention anything specific. I checked the ADC3001 and it mentions about register initialization briefly. Can we follow TLV320ADC3001 procedure for the ADC3101?

Is there way to configure the pass through MiniDSP? I just need an ADC interface to my seperate audio DSP. What should be the correct configuration the slave mode?

Hi Ramnath,

I have attached a sample config that is used by our EVM which is very similar to your requirement (slave, sample rate, etc..). You can use this for a reference.

I should mention the format is

w 30 xx yy zz

where "w" is write

"30" is the I2C address for the device

"xx" is the register in hex

"yy" is the data in hex

"zz" is optionally more data for the next register assuming that the register will auto increment

Just as a suggestion, Datasheet of ADC 3101 is missing the register initialization sequence but ADC3100 datasheet show the correct way to initialize the ADC. It will be great if you could add this missing information in ADC3101 datasheet.

I have a custom board with a dm365 linked to a tlv320adc3101.

Does the codec has by default a minimal bypass code integrated in minidsp

I need to build a firwmare with purepath and load it into the codec?

How do I load it?

The ADC3101 defaults to a power down state. It is necessary to power up the blocks you want to use. The DSP is bypassed by default.

You can use the ADC3101 control software to control all of the non-DSP registers and PurePath Studio to program the DSP if desired.
