Hello all,
I have an application where I am using the 5086 with the CC8530. Is there any reason this should not work?
How do I go about modifying the 5518 info already in the system to relate to the 5086, or do I need to create one from scratch?

Hi Patrick,
No, I don't see any reason this should not work. I recommend that you take a copy of the ppwadd-file of the audio device that is most similar to the tas5086 and give it a new name, e.g. tas5086.ppwadd. Place this file in in the audio_devices folder in My Documents: My Documents\Texas Instruments\PurePath Wireless Configurator\audio_devices. Then you should edit this file inside a text editor. I haven't looked very closely on neither the 5518 nor 5086 datasheet, but I see that there are some differences; the register addresses are not the same, so you have to modify the file. The configurator help menu contains some nice documentation on the audio device definition files that you should read. Please let me know if you need any more assistance.
Best regards
Kristoffer
That helps. I am waiting of the schematics from the factory to write the code.
Received the schematic. Any suggestions on a quick and easy configuration?
Patrick,
You must look in the datasheet of the tas5086 and configure the registers as you want it. I'm afraid that's as quick as it gets.

Just thinking out loud here.
We have AD1 to SDIN1.
and PWMA and PWMB
I assume that We should mute all the other inputs and outputs.
Change the input resolution to 16bit.
We don't need any biquad or other filters present.
Any other things to consider on this?
