Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3262, TLV320AIC3253
I am looking at using either the TLV320AIC3253 or the TLV320AIC3262 in our next generation product. As a medical device, we need to validate our speaker's operation - our legacy solution is to play a tone on a speaker and simultaneously listen to a MIC. My question is, can we accomplish this using a single I2S bus between a master host and your codec; or will we need to interface two I2S buses - one to handle the MIC and the other to handle speaker data? Essentially my question is can the codec I2S bus (with DIN & DOUT) operate full duplex in the sense of both generating and receiving audio? If it factors in, I am only interested in a mono system (one speaker & one MIC).
