TAS5615DKD2EVM is no longer Operational ! Please Offer HELP/Customer Support

Dear TI,

 

      My Company, ELK Industries, LLC (www.elkindustries.com) Purchased one of the TAS5615DKD2EVM  - Power Amplifier Evaluation Circuits.

Now, it has ceased to Function. The (ONLY) Clue, as to it's "STATUS", is that the FAN (+12 VDC) which is unused  Measures only + 5.5 Volts DC.

How can We arrange to have the EVM (Module) Serviced?  It Cost US >$300 or so, when we Bought it !   Now, even though Power to it, Inputs, and Speaker Connections have been Checked, and Doublechecked, it does not Produce any Output. The Circuit was Used for several Months, Successfully, with a +50 VDC Heavy Duty Regulated Power Supply. The POWER SUPPLY is FINE, Yet the Amplifier Module is "DEAD".

PLEASE ADVISE.

    Hi, Robin,

    These modules are designed for evaluation of our ICs, and the Terms and Conditions are attached.

    Unfortunately, we do not provide a service to repair broken EVMs.

    This device's EVM is no longer available as the device's status is NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs). You can order either a TAS5630B or TAS5613A EVM if you want to replace your EVM.

    Otherwise, you might be able to find an electronics technician locally who might be able to repair this EVM for you.
