LM4702C DC speaker protection

Hello everyone,

I'm writing because I don't know much about DC speaker protection, I've read in the Randy Slone's book an application using a crowbar to short the output to common(ground) when a considerable DC voltage above 5VDC is sensed at one of the ouputs (melting one of the rail protection fuses), the problem is that I'm using current limited (see Multislope VI limiter in e2e forum for further information about this circuit) output stage so the output devices will remain shorting to ground and heating up always draining the same current. I think that's better to use a circuit with a similar behaviour but instead of shorting to ground, cuts the rails of the affected channel triggering one ore two relays in the supply rails. Does anyone have an idea of a circuit to perform this task?

Thank you very much for your atention,

Best regards,

Daniel Almeida
