SRC4392 EVM

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SRC4392

Dear Sir:

We are using the SRC4392 EVM. We have a question about this sample rate converter. In our application, we need a DAI interface with MCLK=12MHz, LRCK=48kHz. If we use SRC4392 EVM, how can we generate such DAI signals?

I mean, originally, we have a DAI with LRCK=48kHz, BCLK=3.072MHz, MCLK=12.288MHz and DAC data. Now if we feed external MCLK=12MHz to SRC4392 EVM, can the SRC4392 convert it the DAI with MCLK=12MHz, LRCK=48kHz and DAC data we want?

   Thanks for your help!

  • Cien,

The SRC4392 will be able to lock to the 12MHz signal with its PLL and integer/decimal dividers that can be programmed.  However later on in the audio ports for example, only integer dividers are available to divide down MCLK for LRCK, so if providing 12MHz, LRCK should be 46.875kHz for example if using a 256Fs divider.
