Hi,
I'm using the TPA2026D2 but my inputs are single instead of differential. Should I just ground INR- and INL-? Is there a recommended configuration for this case?
Thanks!
Jorge.

Hi, Jorge,
Sorry we didn't include this use case in the d/s, and the EVM Users Guide is actually very misleading...
The correct thing to do is to ac-ground the unused inputs thru the same impedance seen by the used inputs. Otherwise, there will be a differential voltage generated at start-up which will result in a turn-on pop.
Tying the inputs directly to ground (without a series cap) will kill the internal bias of the part...

Dear Don.
In case of Single Ended usage, what is the guaranteed maximum speaker output power from TPA2026D2 at a given 5V and 4 Ohm speaker load?
Can I assume the output power is almost half of differential input ?
Thanks & BR
Hi,
As long as your input signal is large enough, and you have enough gain, the output power capability will be identical to the differential input case.
