USB CODEC

consider to integrate a USB Codec (like PCM29xx) in our system,

I would like to know if you have any other/better chips to suggest.

This chip should work in the same time with the MIC and with the Headphone(full duplex)?

The PCM2912A is good, but his power consumption is 500mW and we preferred to work with 3.3v

The PCM2901/3 for example have audio Line_in Left and Right, is it possible to use line_in for MIC?

  • Hi, Eli,

Too bad the PCM2912A won't work, it sounds perfect.

For the PCM2901/3, it might have problems because line in is typically a much higher amplitude signal that a microphone. You might be able to add an external op amp to gain up the signal before feeding it to the chip.
