AIC3254 noise estimation coefficients

Hi,

I'm reading some values from AIC3254's miniDSP coefficients (Noise Reduction component) in order to know which level of noise is estimating each filter on the filter bank. Now that I have the data, I would like to know if anyone can help me understand it by explaining me the way this information has been encoded.

I've also noticed that it takes some latency time (30 seconds more or less) to read a stable value whereas the effect of noice supression is applied almost instantly. Can anyone tell me if this is normal and why is it happening?

What coefficients do you read? Do you want to know how the GUI calculates the filter coefficients or are you referring to something else?

Hi,

I'm reading the first eight coefficients (eight filters) and they are stable on a decimal value around 41975. After reading this coefs. from the miniDSP I force a recalculation in order to get an idea of the noise estimation variation in time. I read this values every 100 ms.

I want to know which noise level am I watching (i.e. 41975 = -40 dBm ??) and the way to calculate it as it's modified by the component's estimation.
